How long does dental implant treatment take?

One of the main benefits of dental implants is that they preserve bone structure since they function like normal tooth roots, fused into your jaw bone. In order for this process to occur, the bone must bond together with the implants. This process, known as osseointegration, can take anywhere from 3-9 months. The amount of time depends upon the quality of the bone in which the implants are placed.
